Tanzanian Deputy Minister of Sport visits the Kigoma/Ujiji program.

The Tanzanian Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Sports flew to Kigoma to meet with sports officers, sports committees and sports stakeholders to discuss how Kigoma has become one of the countries leaders in Sport for Social Development.

While in Kigoma he will discuss the success of the Coaches across Continents program with the Head of the Municipal Sports Program, Coach Nicholaus.

“The visit of the Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Sport recognizes the work of all the teachers in Kigoma/Ujiji and Kasulu and how they have embraced the use of Sport in Education.  More than 150 teachers have trained with Coaches across Continents and have used games to teach HIV and Female Empowerment.  Congratulations to Coach Nico and Coach Masari for all their hard work year-round to use sport to help children in their schools”  Christian Aviza, Coaches across Continents Business Advisory Board.
