Coaches Across Continents joins the streetfootballworld network.

March 27th, 2012.  Coaches Across Continents is delighted to announce that we have accepted the invitation to  join the streetfootballworld network.  Initiated in the year 2002, the streetfootballworld network currently unites over 80 organisations that have identified football as an instrument to transform the lives of disadvantaged individuals worldwide. The streetfootballworld network members are overcoming local challenges with sustainable programmes in the thematic fields of peacebuilding, children’s rights & education, anti-discrimination & social integration, environmental protection and health promotion. The idea of founding a network was based on the need of organisations in the field of Development through Football to achieve global visibility and recognition and to exchange existing experience and knowledge from the sector. Via the global network, each member has the possibility to strengthen its own local work and make a tangible contribution to positive social change worldwide.

Coaches Across Continents works in partnership with streetfootballworld members in Malawi, Zambia, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, India, Colombia and Cameroon.

“We have built a strong relationship with streetfootballworld over the past 3 years and are delighted and honored to officially join the network.  We’re looking forward to sharing our ideas and learning from other members as we continue to improve our Hat-Trick Initiative.”  Nick Gates, Founder and Global Strategist, Coaches Across Continents.
