Community Impact Coach

“I am so excited to be working with Coaches Across Continents and am so glad to be the first Community Impact Coach in Uganda and the second in Africa. In my first year as a Community impact Coach I have managed to teach other coaches and teachers in Mpigi with the help of the CAC team. I want to say that I am so thankful for CAC for the experience I have received. The CAC curriculum teaches more than soccer and teaches social skills that are so important for the young people around my community and am so grateful for the wealth of memories the CAC coaches have left behind which will be transferred to very many coaches and children in Uganda.” – Salim Blanden, Uganda

Coaches Across Continents launched our Community Impact Coach Program in 2013. Through this fantastic program many of our local coaches were able to have the opportunity to excel and lead in their own community teaching the CAC curriculum   This program was establish to continue our efforts to aid  local organizations through education, and to allow sustainability throughout our programs.   Not only has it helped bring sustainability to our programs throughout the world but it has been a great way for our CAC partners to connect, and see different cultures throughout the world.

This year was the first year that we selected coaches for the  Community Impact Coach program, and it has been a very successful year. We have had a Community Impact Coach Nicholas Achimpota from Tanzania work throughout Ghana being apart of the CAC team. Along with that we have had two amazing Impact Coaches from Uganda work, and one in Kenya. We have also selected three Impact Coaches from South Africa, one coach in India, and two fantastic coaches in Zimbabwe who will be working with us later in the year.
Through the Community Impact Coach program all coaches have the opportunity to travel and coach with CAC staff to other partner programs.  This might be to other partners within their own country or even internationally.  It is a very competitive selection process and coaches must apply by filling out our Community Impact Coach Application 2014 along with attending skype conference calls.
A Community Impact Coach acts as another CAC coach while traveling to other communities.  Upon return to their local organization, they must run several continuing education courses (guidance will be provided by CAC) to their fellow coaches in their community.  We expect these coaches to continue being great leaders for their local communities and countries upon their return.  Traveling to other CAC communities will allow them to learn from other local leaders, teach football for social impact games and continue their proficiency, and collaborate with other coaches and groups to learn from each other.
For a coach to be considered for this competitive process, they must complete the application by March 1st.
It is our belief that by creating this network between coaches and allowing local coaches the opportunity to travel, teach, and learn in other locales, that they will bring a unique perspective to the CAC curriculum. We believe that this learning experience will then be brought back to their local communities and allow for continued growth and sustainability with all our programs.
Brian Suskiewicz, Chief Executive Strategist.

Competition for the Community Impact Coach positions is expected to be extremely high as only the strongest and most dedicated local coaches will be selected.
