Our Hat Trick Initiative with Buwate was completed in 2012.  Headed by former Uganda Crane national team soccer player Richard Ssenbunya, the Buwate partnership works in one of the poorer locations outside of Kampala.  Richard has created a loyal academy where at-risk youth can train with their peers while learning life lessons.  Richard has several fields running in communities around Buwate, and it is his dedication that keeps these children in a safe, learning environment.

The program has registered a total of 74 children of which 31 children are girls and 43 are boys. All of these children are orphans and other vulnerable children. With increase in funds and other support, they are looking forward to increase the number to around 300 children. This is because the level of vulnerability of children in the area is very high and there are many children who need support.
