Kicking + Screening Winner 2012

Kicking + Screening Film Festival announced in February 2012 that it had selected nonprofit Coaches Across Continents as its Social Initiative for 2012. The K+S Social Initiative is a three-year-old program to use the reach and connectivity of K+S’s festivals to promote and support football/soccer-related causes. Past Social Initiatives include Grassroot Soccer, Play31, and Soccer Without Borders.  More

Peace and Sport Finalist 2011

Recognizing its innovative partnership working with former Child Soldiers in Uganda, Coaches Across Continents was selected as one of finalists for the “NGO for Peace of The Year” at the 2011 Peace and Sport Awards. Sponsored by L’Organisation pour la Paix par le Sport, the Awards “reward initiatives and people who have outstandingly contributed to peace and social stability in the world through sport. The winners have implemented projects that are symbolic of what sport can accomplish to create links between divided or opposed communities.”  More

Global Sports Finalist 2010

Coaches Across Continents was a finalist at the Global Sports Forum in 2010, Barcelona, in the Sport and Education category. With official backing from the City of Barcelona, the Global Sports Forum Barcelona offers a platform for sports personalities from a wide range of backgrounds to meet and exchange ideas.  More

Beyond Sport – Best New Initiative 2009

Coaches Across Continents won the award for Best New Project at this global event.  There are 12 categories for the Beyond Sport Awards 2012 covering the entire sporting spectrum of health, social inclusion, corporate and social responsibility, and philanthropy. These categories are split into three clear sections – Beyond Sport Community Awards; Corporation and Federation Awards; and the Judges’ Awards.  More
